Snowing in Chicagoland right now... Nothing is sticking but still snowing
Crazy cold in Denver! Forecast high of only 15°F in Denver today (Oct 26t) would obliterate record for coldest daytime high so early in the season by over 2 weeks!
Everything is still green here, we haven't dropped below 60°F since April
My wife and younger son are in Surprise until Friday night. They have had hot weather for the last 10 days but told me that today and tomorrow will be in the upper 60s/low 70s

Yeah, tonight will be our first sub 60°F and sub 50°F night since Spring, looking at a near record low of 46°F (record is 42°F). Today already maxed out, 73°F at midnight, temps been slowly dropping since. Then 67°F tomorrow which will be a near record minimum high (record is 65°F). But then warming up. 92°F Sunday, which will be 9°F above average, and our first Nov 90°F since 11/8/2016
Quick current map and who's reporting what with some of my annotations.. While I wish I was on the other side, it is interesting to see.
You see that little "bend" in the upper Midwest... that's a secondary trough which is sending low level cold air down south while the main trough is over the Rockies. That's a straight airflow from the north shooting right down
Harsh differences in Texas. It's 84 at San Antonio airport, 47 at Kerrville. That's nearly 40 degrees lost in 50 miles.
I'm impressed at the "during the day" temps struggling past teens and 20s. I feel like I'm looking at a map in January.
40+ below normal this afternoon within that impressive airmass. And this isn't a "shot" of cold. It's been going on for a week now. Sioux Falls hasn't had above normal temp since October 13th
