Oof. Careful what you wish for. After Sally passes (which fortunately looks to have sped up a bit), it's gonna be quite the cool down. We might only hit 70/71 on Sunday and could have our first sub 50 low that morning. That'll be almost too chilly for getting on the boat!

But after that is what I really want in Sept. Nothing but upper 70s and a couple of 80s and lows in the upper 50s. Just need to get through this rain fest coming up.

Oh and dew point of 70 right now. Currently 82 but only gonna get up to 86 or 87. May as well enjoy it before I break out the jacket in less than a week.

Probably but still, it’s barely even the middle of September and already cold enough for the first snowflakes of the season up there.

The "Fall-Like" days come when the airmass aloft is below normal this time of year. While short lived they have been happening every 4-9 days since end of August.

Each one of these days resulted in "beautiful" weather. Not hot, not humid.

Coldest airmass of the season coming this weekend. Bring on the dips!

Normal temp at 850mb is +9C over Albany. +11C (51F) over Long Island. Euro model has it going below freezing over Albany Sunday morning. So well below normal.

People are going to be saying "ITS COMING". lol. We'll finally get a true taste of Fall with this shot.

Up to 25.7C in SE Norway today.
Here we had just 13.3C after a 7.7C low.

High today was 77F at ORD 75F at MDW and 74F here under hazy sun

Yup very dry and cool the next week or two for the eastern two thirds. It's almost a slam dunk that this month will end up below average. CFSv2 actually showing warmer than average for the 8-14 and 15-21 day but I don't believe it.

I got two 0% sunshine days in a row so about time. But only .20" the last two days while just 40 miles offshore had 5"+. Another tropical system just misses me again.
