CNN is reporting a total of six deaths in the storms today. It doesn't look like the severe weather will be letting up soon either.

I heard today on the radio, (haven't verified it) but they were saying that this year, so far has been terrible. Over 700 reported tornado's, last year was only 500 by this time of year.

Several places in Arkansas were literally blown away by straight line wind and tornados. The cold air moving into the state meeting up with the warmth we've been experiencing caused some serious heartache. The temp today was at least 15 degrees cooler than before the cold air blew in with all it's problems. I don't remember having this much windy weather at this time of year before.

I don't have a link handy, but they did say the final death count was nine from those storms. That's always the saddest part~to lose loved ones in a storm. Loss of homes and personal items is something we can always deal with even though that's a bit sad, too.
