Major storm has finished. 7.7" was measured yesterday, cleared the board and remeasured another 1.9" this morning for a grand total of 9.6". Seasonal snow up to 54.0" which is already above my annual average with nearly half of winter to go!

Unusual to see coastal Connecticut getting that much more than the Hartford area.

I wanted to venture out but I have been cleaning and shoveling still. Love/Hate relationship with the coast here. Started drizzling do the snowpack became even heavier.

I ended up getting 'only' 10.2" drifts up to 20".

We got maybe 8" of the light fluffy stuff. I haven't ventured out to shovel or snow-blow yet ...

Here's my back yard maybe half an hour ago ...

I'd seen a little opossum hanging around looking for food for several days, but haven't seen him since late last week ...

Given the insanely low overnight temps last week AND yesterday's/last night's snowstorm, I hope the little guy's OK. (He scared me at first -- thought he might be a rat, although I've never seen one in the almost 9 years I've lived here. Then I looked closer. I like opossums! )

Hes Cute!!

Just a ton of snow here in Bergen County. Id say at least 20 inches, with drifts from plows and such almost 5 feet high. Shoveled way too much.

Woke up this morning to pretty strong snowfall. First time the accumulation has actually been increasing notably since about Sunday lunchtime. Didn't expect that.

While some spots are still seeing snow today, here's the Snow totals on the map.

Jackpot zone was Eastern PA, northern NJ, into NY

Zoomed in

If you click on the link and choose "Total Snowfall" in the drop down box instead of Interpolated you'll see the actual number of the reports on the map. You'll have to zoom in though.
