Temps have been climbing north of the freezing mark here in the metro area this past hour. Thus the light fluffy snow is turning into the heavier wetter stuff. There is some danger of changing over to sleet and rain later tonight, though hopefully not.

Ah, THAT is what I was basically looking for confirmation of ... from everything I've read, when temps stay at or below freezing in a particular location, that location is likely to get the light, fluffy kind of snow. And so I THINK that that is what we are in for here in southwestern New Hampshire, as temps are in the high 20s and very low 30s through tomorrow. So I can live with THAT kind of snow ...
Very nice. But when I think of the aftermath I'm glad I'm not dealing with it. I need an NC snowstorm that's gone in two days.
Plows working hard all day and night. Everything will be back to normal tomorrow. Maybe afternoon if this keeps up. Plus people still havent cleared their driveways.
The local news stations are calling for 8-14” here in the Albany area. I would say maybe 3” have fallen so far. Just to our west they are predicting 12-18”.
Incredible storm. Love this area for these NorEasters we get! Light drizzle overnight compacted the snow so people measuring this morning for the 1st time aren't getting the true snow totals.
