Other than the presumably high sunshine, Soda Springs is the antithesis to the stereotypical California climate. Snowfall tops 400 inches, and the nearby Central Sierra Snow Lab has recorded snow depths in excess of 200” in multiple winters. I believe this is the snowiest inhabited place in the state with records.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soda...ty,_California (figures are a bit strange due to the 10 year record period, but they’re generally accurate to the overall climate)

More detailed snow stats: Sierra Snowfall

It’s hard for me to rate snowy climates as I’ve never lived in one, but I’m going to wager that 400 inches is way too much for me. Makes for great skiing though. C-.

C, Great for skiing but not great for summer (not warm enough and too much diurnal variation).

B. Nice temperatures and snowfall in the winter, but too much rain in the winter and not enough in the summer (which causes wildfires). The May snowfall seems too high to be accurate. Seems like a nice place to go skiing or on vacation for Christmas
