Interesting discussion everyone (apart from those two pages arguing that Seattle has the worst climate lol)

My take away from this is that if you hate cold then Ulaanbaatar is by far the worst and for those hating the heat its a tossup between Kuwait City, Mecca, or Bangkok with each have pros and cons when compared to each other.

Winters are gloomy and cold but barely ever get cold enough for significant snowfall. It seems no other large city come close to this combination of terrible weather factors.
Glasgow sounds like a perfect climate to me. Never "too hot" and never "too cold".

"Glasgow enjoys a very stable climate with relatively warm summers and quite mild winters. The temperature in Glasgow is often milder than that in the rest of Scotland."

I like Vancouver's mix of weather.

We generally get good summers, this summer is especially dry, over 42 days no rain. We generally get a few hot days, but mostly in the high to mid 20's range in summer. Again, this summer is hotter, with having that heat dome earlier, and now this week temps getting up to 32 C. If you want hotter temps, you simply go inland a bit and they jump up.

Swimming in the ocean, is done, and is usually refreshing but today the ocean temp is 20.5 C. Totally doable.

As for the rest of the year, autumn can be beautiful, and frankly as much as I like hot and sunny, I also like a bit cool and rainy days.

Winters rarely get snow, but it's available 20 minutes from downtown on one of the local mountains.

Spring is spectacular, but some flowers start blooming in late February.

I couldn't live in a place that didn't have a certain amount of change in seasons since it brings changes in eating habits and clothing. I like that.

That said, I don't think I'd like super cold winters, I'm to wet coast for that.

The gloomiest months for me are November, and January. December you don't notice, too busy with the holidays.
