Then the weather forecasts I see of those places must be reporting from downtown (aka on the ocean). That would explain why they gave no frosts, as well as the areas away from the beaches ending their growing seasons.

Just checked regular 'weather savannah' vs 'weather hunter army airfield' with searches, and on a couple of nights the former search gives daily lows slightly higher than the latter (eg: 9 vs 10 degrees for tonight).
So just as I surmised, I could easily see this explaining why my searches for the weather in all those listed places (starting on November 1 and continuing every day since) gave no frost for Savannah on Nov. 24. Thanks to the Atlantic Ocean, Urban Heat Island, or both, the part of Savannah from where regular old weather is taken seems to have escaped the -1 that Hunter Army Airfield got.

That inland airport vs on-the-Atlantic-downtown-and-urban-heat-island effect is even more pronounced with Charleston, looking at Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charle...rolina#Climate

Worst possible pattern to get any decent arctic air and snow for most areas east of the Mississippi River. We’ll have well above average Height anomalies after day 7 for most areas. -PNA and +AO will have to do a 180 degree reversal if we’re going to have any winter weather in January!

Winter in the north today. 8-11" snow fallen in ND and that area of MN there. 2-5" in all other areas.

55mph+ winds in South Dakota. Raining in Chicago

Euro12z and previous 00z runs have no snow here for Wednesday now. LOL. Northern branch vaporized. Only Coastal storm on the table now which may stay too far off the coast.

It went from Rain, to snow to rain, to Snowstorm, to nothing now in matter of 2 days. LOL

I might get 1-2" snow Wednesday

Temperature overachieved yesterday. Ended up getting up to 82F! Dewpoint in the 60's. Felt like May... Forecast high of 79F today. Front tomorrow should lower temperatures briefly. Marginal severe risk tomorrow also.

Forecast to get around 80F again later this week. May have a bigger chance for severe storms with another front Saturday.

Low yesterday was 61F - warmer than any min we had in the month of November.
