They are really unusually early all the more so as there are places where you can find snow. When I saw them from a distance, I thought it was coltsfoot. But getting closer, it turned out that they were really dandelions. They were on the wall of a house that gets a lot of afternoon sun and where the nights are mild. I've never seen dandelions in my area so early, it is still March. This is a close-up:

Daffodils don't bloom until about May here.

Interesting to see who's blossoming and who's not.

Ominous Skies turned out to be a Hail Storm I got caught in

Accumulation of hail!

39°F here with awesome skies. Check out these trees. No idea what they are but I pass this spot a lot and they always prune them like this. I'll try to remember to get a shot of them with leaves

BTW - those are all nests!

Wow, that sounds late?

These shots were taken Friday. Would have been nice to have had some sun but what can you do.

The Butchart Gardens are a well-known display garden here. Here's the classic view over their famous Sunken Garden; you'll see the same shot plastered all over the interwebs from thousands of people. Never really gets old though.

Daffodils and cherry blossoms. Third shot was taken from "Hatley Castle".

Arbutus tree from the Malahat Skywalk.

Who's blossoming. Unfortunately, English is not my mother tongue, but I did not intend to talk about daffodils, but about dandelions. These should be different things, as far as I know. Daffodils don't bloom here right now because it's too cold here. I think daffodils are blossoming in Western Europe right now. But I don't live there. Yes, I'm guilty of living here and not there. I'm guilty. At least a little. I am also guilty of noticing these dandelions. I am guilty.
Daffodils do not bloom in our garden at all. During the period when they usually bloom in other gardens here, they do not bloom in our garden. This is because the daffodil bulbs in our garden were destroyed. I think either the mole or some other such animal ate the daffodil bulbs. But I think I'm guilty of that, too. At least a little.

About normal. Ground doesn't really warm up until early/mid May here. Ground stays pretty cold until April.

The Butchart Gardens looks amazing!

Whoops, typo. I meant Dandelions. They don't appear until May here.

28°(-2C) at time of photo.

It's good the Magnolias didn't bloom, these temps would of toasted them up like I seen happen in NJ today and April 2016.

Should be fun once it starts warming up.

Time lapse camera setup on my Backyard Maple tree.

Here's every hour (7am-7pm) past 2 weeks.

More Clouds Than Sun. Ignore the temperature, the sensor on the camera stinks.

I'm in need of some color ASAP!

How it looks around here today April 7, 2022. Even a yellow sun would help the mood! Been over 3 days since seeing it.

Coldest Avg temp (March 27-April 6) since 2001
