Last of the colder than average temperatures will be ending in the next day or two. The end of November and December looks like a mostly zonal flow with milder and cooler conditions alternating. Definitely not very wintry at all.

Lowest of season here. Impressive cold without a snowpack. Only a handful of times since 1950s its been this cold before Nov 22nd

A look at the Avgerage Temp departure from normal past 7 days.

The blue is widespread and it's not a little below normal. It's 10-15 BELOW.



Here's the past 2 weeks


9 days in a row a majority of the CONUS had max temps below normal.




Here's the Temp departures month to date. That early warmth still there but so much has been erased from existence.

record cold this morning from Mojave CA to Bar Harbor ME

Its gotta be incredibly rare to have daily record low temps in California, Idaho, Maine, and Georgia on the same day

Yes...well below normal ......

High was -3.4C ....Low -7.5C at Toronto Pearson

Normals for November 20th are ..High -6C ...Low -1C

Today, much warmer ...forecast high is 5C and sunny....
however...very windy...peak gusts will be about 50 mph

Speaking of below normal....

How about Brownsville, Texas.....the southern tip of Texas at 26N ....

Yesterday's high 48F ...

Currently 45F ...forecast high today is 52F

Normal high for November 21st is 78F ....normal low 59F
