A nasty 87f here and dew point that would make you think you are on Venus. Can't get any worse.

Bank on it. Warmest winter ever for my area. About as dry as last winter also, but nothing can beat last winter since i had about no rain at all.

Looks like more 90's next week and i expect that into Nov. No rain this month so far and i see none coming for many days.

Need a blow up in the gulf to come my way. A nice stuck CAT1 would be perfect.

Got another close call with frost this AM. I think it dropped to 34-35F in most of the yard. A couple of the most exposed frost sensitive plants now have a few black spots and the sweet potatoes are dying back, but by and large, plants including watermelon, peppers, eggplants, tomatoes, passionflowers, tomatillos and yacon are still in good condition.

Previous morning dropped to 36F.

Coldest forecasted temperature in the 7-day is only 40F. That could easily become a 35-36F, but it doesn't really look like we're getting a frost yet. Average first frost is Oct 7-8, so we may end up being 2 weeks or more later than average... Gonna have to look up what the record latest first frost is here...

I would be lucky to see a frost at all . I could never live where you do and deal with the cold for 8 months a year.

Cold's not so bad. Plus, 8 months is an exaggeration. After spending 20 years in tropical climate, I am so glad to have actual 4 seasons. Its so easy to stay comfy in cold
