Imagine that, 1997-98 was a strong El Niño as well.

Talking Warm Mediterranean Style Summer Boon For Minnesota: Wine Grapes & Apples

This 5th warmest summer and warmest September on record in the Twin Cities helped add sweetness to fruits this season. Overall temperatures have run more than 3 degrees warmer than average since June 1.

Once again the heat is prolonged and record-breaking whilst the "cold" shot is fleeting and mild.

May not be so fleeting though. Here is the latest off the Euro. It's definitely a +PNA pattern the next 2 weeks. I'll be willing to wager that this October will either end up near average or below average for me. Just my gut telling me this. I have a feeling the second have of October will be very inclement

Yup... Heat ending front on the way. Still about 700 miles west of the east coast. Hurry up! lol.

I'm actually enjoying these 70s!

Looks like even behind the front the surface heat is taking a little while to scour out. But man there is dry air behind the front. Must feel awesome!

Dews in the 40s once front passes!

Marine layer as a term, is pretty much never used in NZ.
NWS Philadelphia mentions it today

Possible 30c high on Sunday, which would be record hot for that time of the year.

No sign of cool weather at all.
