This is a fun website to use to determine an ideal area. Comfortable days only let’s you sort by temperature and max dew point (no minimum dew point for us rain lovers) but using that and in coordination with the other filters can help you figure out a place.
Cool site though a bit finicky. Maybe it works better on a PC than an iPad.
My picks are about like yours. The problem is that it doesn't weigh the extremes or the precipitation together with the results. The yellow belt has less winter but hotter summer - not sure I can deal with that. lol And super dry places are out for me.
A hurricane every month and 10" of rain a week and real winters like i used to have in the 1980's. I like change not boring sun and no rain all year like i get.
So you want as much rain as Mawsynram, India, the wettest place on Earth? They get an average of 9" a week.
See that red spot in Tennessee... I had a place there on a ridge. We'd say wait two weeks for a different season. The weather was not the best in spite of what the chart suggests. It could be in the 50-60's in the summer and 100+ the next day. Always found it hard to get used to, but don't get me wrong, when it was nice it was damn nice, but it was crazy. Winter, 70* one day... 12" of snow the next.
Me... I prefer 85*, mostly sunny with a breeze. This is why I like Florida.
If I could I’d get a mountain cabin in Rabun County Georgia. The little nub that borders both Carolinas. Beautiful weather there.

Seconded. Those conditions are called 'anticyclonic' for a reason - it's a code word for anti weather AKA non weather. One is never to call himself a 'weather enthusiast', should he find enthusiasm not in weather but instead in periods of high pressure.
Winter: A snowy day with a high of 3C (37F) and a low of -4C (25F). Very humid, foggy in the morning, no sun. Also some wind chill.
Summer: Either Sunny and moderately humid or rainy and muggy. A high of 28C (82F) and a low of 15C (59F). Cool winds.

I would like any rain at this point. Not even 20" total this year. And make my gulf water temps 54f in the summer and bring my dew points from 74f to 84f to 55f. I can really skip summer for that matter.
I'd love to live in N California coastal but way too far from family.
We (husband and I) considered Colorado but hub hates cold and snow so nope.
Lived decades in Delaware, hot summers there, shorter heat than North Carolina where we live now.
Western North Carolina mountains are great weather for me, wish we lived there but Charlotte has been a good choice otherwise.

I was above 3500'. In order to enjoy the coolness of the mountains you need to be over 3500'... has been my experience.
