Not an option but I voted <3. That's effectively a rain vote.
I think the most interesting part of these Middle Atlantic winter storms (meaning below Boston but above Virginia Beach) is that no matter how HARD NWS/NOAA tries (and they DO try) to pin down snow vs rain, the climate and geography of this areas always seems to out flank them . LOL
Here are a few shots of temp outputs I saw this morning. The change in wind direction from north (Canada) to east/southeast (off the Atlantic Ocean) is what is changing a lot of areas to rain, including NYC, coastal Connecticut and Long Island.

There is a reason that snowstorms are rare this early; the ocean is still warm. Even the December 25, 1969 switched to rain when Saranac Lake was under-30F. In this case the “cold air supply” is pathetic. It takes a wind between 360 and 030 at this time of year to stay snow.
As for the NOAA, the training, for public safety purposes is to keep a mention of snow if there is any chance.
As of about an hour ago, we had .60 inches of rain and it was 36F. It looks like it’s going to be all rain for us until overnight, when it will switch to a wet snow. It was disappointing to think a week ago that we had a chance for 5-8 inches of snow only to get a cold rain.
Got 3.1" here in western Pennsylvania and it's stopped here. From 12-1, 1.9" fell, one of the heaviest rates of snow I've seen in a long time. Most of it fell in that band.

Probably the best chance in the next 2 weeks too.

WOW! Thanks for the report!
Flurries/Light snow in NYC
Moderate snow in Trenton, NJ with 1/2 mile visibility wind Chill value of 22°F while Light rain outside Philadelphia
That would break the 1" in a day snow drought. Exciting? Not.
