Well I won't be pleased if its cloudy all the time as we went there hoping for sunshine.
I mean it was pretty sunny the last time.
That is a normal forecast for summer in Florida. If you expected hot sunshine and no cloud then you are a fool. To be honest if I was looking for a holiday with sunshine without cloud and heat I would have gone to the med. Would have been far cheaper as well.
Florida in the summer has a lot of storms, clouds, and rain. The forecast you are seeing is not an exaggeration, but should be expected.
Europeans go to the Med in the winter expecting it to be like Florida it seems, while Europeans go to Florida expecting it to be the Med in the summer. The best you're going to get is partly cloudy skies, usually in the morning to early afternoon. Clouds start to build up in mid afternoon and the storms begin late afternoon
It would unreasonable to expect to completely sunny days in the summer for Florida. It's the rainy season. Judging by these %, except for Miami, it's no sunnier than it is here:
Of course, it's sunnier than Northern Ireland. Except just about anywhere in the continental US is during the summer. I remember Mac15 commented that going to northern New England in the summer would mean cloudy weather. The difference with Florida and there is small.
