Gotta love those clockwise spinning Highs sitting right over Quebec.

Although my Winds & on Long Island right now are still from the West. Front hasn't dropped south of me fully yet. PUSH! I'm right on northern edge

Surface Map right now.

FYI.. Minimum temps reflect what the dewpoints will be. So if you're low is 46 tonight, your DPs will be in the 40s tomorrow.

That is a normal forecast for summer in Florida. If you expected hot sunshine and no cloud then you are a fool. To be honest if I was looking for a holiday with sunshine without cloud and heat I would have gone to the med. Would have been far cheaper as well.

Florida in the summer has a lot of storms, clouds, and rain. The forecast you are seeing is not an exaggeration, but should be expected.

Europeans go to the Med in the winter expecting it to be like Florida it seems, while Europeans go to Florida expecting it to be the Med in the summer. The best you're going to get is partly cloudy skies, usually in the morning to early afternoon. Clouds start to build up in mid afternoon and the storms begin late afternoon

Forecast for Orlando shows Partly Sunny most days:

National Weather Service

It would unreasonable to expect to completely sunny days in the summer for Florida. It's the rainy season. Judging by these %, except for Miami, it's no sunnier than it is here:

Sunshine - Florida Climate Center

Of course, it's sunnier than Northern Ireland. Except just about anywhere in the continental US is during the summer. I remember Mac15 commented that going to northern New England in the summer would mean cloudy weather. The difference with Florida and there is small.
