Interesting... My parents have been to NH. I went to ME as a kid.
Pretty place from what I hear.

But normally when we vacation it's to go somewhere warmer, or somewhere that's coincidentally warmer anyways, even in summer.

But it depends on where in that city you are, i.e. in Richmond it is darn cold in July (way colder than Amsterdam or London), but at WSO Airport temperature is usually mild.
I know...

Like many locations in California, there are big temperature swings by going up or down a mountain, or going just east or west of a few hills or mountains.

I've heard that it can be 55 F down by the Bay and up on top of a nearby hill 85 F, perhaps even 95 F not too far away in Oakland.

Other places like around San Diego, it's easy to find a place with highs anywhere between 70-100 F in summer; it's all where you choose to be and within a short drive (o.5 hr to 2.0 hrs) of each other.

YUCK!!!
yeah drizzly. From June 11th to August 13th it has rained only 5 times (0.86 inches - 21.8 mm) and it has been much warmer then San Francisco. In the summer there is no comparison. Seattle wins

Yes but both of them are "a lesser evil" than Toronto.

Hell is hot. I see Seattle as more of a purgatory. Everyone there is just doing their time until they can get out and go to their personal heaven.

I consider Toronto, Sault Ste Marie, Duluth, International Falls, Quebec, Montreal, Pickle Lake, Thunder Bay, Winterpeg, Fairbanks (AK), and Whitehorse to have very "heavenly" climates.
