In Buenos Aires province some freeze during this morning:
Las Toninas
And widespread snow in the western side of the country during the last couple of days, first starting across Patagonia (Esquel had its first icy day on Jan 1st) and then going up north to Mendoza today:
Talk about a waste due to Corona isolation. Las Leñas ski resort, as today

A chain of thunderstorms these last days here. And from next wednesday the models are seeing a LOT of cold day. Astronomical winter kicks in strong fashion.
Today was one of the coldest days in the last decade in many areas of Southern Patagonia.
Perito Moreno recorded daily extremes of -20.0°C / -1.0°C. Record lowest for June; all-time record is -25.7°C. Last report (21hs local time) was -15.7°C, about 5 degrees below yesterday at the same time, and it’s clear and no wind…
Gobernador Gregores recorded -15.0°C / -6.0°C; last report (21hs) was -13.2°C.
Also, quite a sequence in Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego, being a coastal location:
Jun-25: -9.6°C / -3.2°C
Jun-26: -13.5°C / -3.0°C
Jun-27: -15.0°C / -2.5°C
Southern Patagonia is on fire (figuratively, of course).
Río Turbio recorded -21.8°C this morning.
Meanwhile, Río Grande is in the path of its fifth sub-freezing day in a row.
Right now, at noon, these are the current figures:
Río Turbio: -16.4°C
Río Grande: -12.5°C
Río Gallegos: -10.2°C
El Calafate: -7.8°C
All these “ríos” (rivers) must be frozen…
Amazing! And from what I see in the Ogimet readings in Río Grande there's been 6 days in a row with snow on the ground, when only in the first one there was a snowfall and the rest there were clear skies. That gives you an idea of the bitter cold those folks are experiencing: https://www.ogimet.com/cgi-bin/gsynr...DIR&enviar=Ver
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! (Jumps in a random picture like Mario 64 and selects a course). https://youtu.be/mkRCdDSL38U Let's do this one! Just DON'T throw the baby penguin over!
And this is the central Andes, in the international pass of Pehuenche. It looks like up to 3 or 4 meters of snow. Someone said Hokkaido?
