Ok, I have to update my coldest. Went camping this weekend and Saturday morning it was a frigid
-3*F. Needless to say, I was very cold. Will not do that again.

The coldest I would have seen is around 32 or 34F...Very boring for this thread I know but it doesn't get that cold here.

-11 degrees in Chicago with a wind chill of -30. Before that, the coldest I ever felt was 18 degrees in Texas.

Rural central Kentucky in the late 50s, I saw -17F on our (reliable) thermometer. With the winter clothes we had at the time, it didn't take me long to get the chores done that day and get back inside. Thank goodness the coal bin was full.

Lowest temperature I supposedly experienced was -41 during the blizzard of 1994 when I was 2.


Lowest temperature I remember I experienced was -31 in February of this year.

I've seen -40 F which is also -40 C.
That's about 85 degrees F or 48 degrees C colder than I'd "like" to see.
