I've only visited London and south and never in Spring. I love traveling in the Fall, never in summer because I don't want to travel when families do.

I am about 120 miles north of London. That puts me in the East Midlands, so the middle of England really. We are notably cooler than the London area usually. I used to live in Berkshire very near London and summers were better.

You are lucky you didn't visit England last september, worst I can remember in my life, did not even hit 70f anywhere once, and lots of heavy rain and chilly willy weather.

Just two days above 80f.

What a load of crap ^^

Any time you get good weather here it is pure luck.

I fully understand Richard's predicament. I also live in a cold cloudy depression of a climate, and as an amatuer astronomer, I'm at my freaking WITS END

Today it is now 92 F here in Rock Hill, SC, surpassing yesterday's 91 F for the new hottest day of the year 2009 thus far...there has been low humidity, so these temps have been absolutely great.
