Here in the PNW, I've noticed some fall colors already. Actually, even in late July I saw some on the coast and further inland at elevations at or close to sea level. It's not really widespread yet but I've never seen any color this early here. Any others noticing fall color yet?

Yes, I've noticed just a few leaves turning. We have a beautiful bush that turns reddish during the autumn and about 10 days ago, there were about 4 leaves that had turned color. That's been it cause I just checked it today.

There are also some trees about a block away that I walk under when I'm out for a walk. There were maybe a dozen leaves that were turning yellow. That number has also stayed stable and I hope that continues. We haven't really had our summer yet and I'm definitely not ready for autumn although the colors are gorgeous then.

I haven't been to Point Beach State Forest this week, I'll check it! I have a small burning bush plus a huge one someone planted on the corner of my house, both have areas that are turning!

To me this is very, very scarey and I prefer not to know what it means (hopefully just from the overly dry weather)!

Fall colors already? Oh my! Sounds nice though.

Nothing here... all green and lush. We probably wont see anything until late September (if cooler than average temperatures settle in) / early October... we dont peak until mid-late October normally.

Really? I thought you just had 105F temps like a week ago and it is fall already? Did it drop 55 degrees in one week?? Also I was under the impression that maritime climates have delayed seasons, with Aug actually being the warmest month (September in San Fran). In other words, your summer has just begun.

Geez, I was about to say what lucky dogs you are to be blessed with the beauty of fall colours, but yeah, isn't it early?? I was thinking September.

Not much around here goes all brilliantly red, orange and yellow.
