That looks more convincing - I never trust Wikipedia without further confirmation. The other ranges just look too high.

I found the same stats over at the source ( Hong Kong Observatory ) and at Climate-Charts.com...

Interesting climate...but my sources all have different numbers.

Here is a new climate to guess:

J: 76/57 1.6
F: 77/58 1.9
M: 77/60 2.5
A: 77/61 7.0
M: 77/61 9.3
J: 77/61 6.5
J: 77/60 4.7
A: 78/60 6.0
S: 77/60 9.0
O: 76/60 11.1
N: 75/60 7.7
D: 75/58 3.1

Record high: 99
Record low: 39
Sunshine hours: 2513
Looks like a pretty stable climate, perhaps island or highland, close to the equator, but the record highs and lows do seem like they are quite a bit far from the averages.

It is located in an equatorial highland.

I think the precipitation pattern and the amount of precipitation is close to my ideal for a temperate climate.

Somewhere among the Andes highlands in Colombia? Medellin has temperature stats roughly similar but not quite.

Some of the areas around there do seem to have an October precipitation max, with a lesser peak around May too.

There doesn't seem to be any interest, so will give the answer soon.

NZ, South Island. Still not trivial to find.
