The snowdrifts in my neighborhood are up to my thigh, and it's still coming down. This has gone hideously too far.

Persistent light snow will greet you through the weekend. Snow amounts east of the Missouri River, in South Dakota, will approach an inch today, an inch tonight, and an inch tomorrow.

Well it finally stopped snowing here. Now the question becomes, will they dig me out in time for the Super Bowl?

It would suck to be in Maryland or New Jersey and not have electric for the Super Bowl. I guess you could listen to the game on your car radio at least.

Did you get the storm in Northern NJ or NYC? My daughter is on LI and said they got nothing.

I live right in the middle of Long island about 15 miles from NYC and we got absolutely no snow in this big nor'easter they warned us about. It snowed, but the flakes were tiny and didn't seem to really stick. My sister lives on the south shore of the island about 10 miles east right on the ocean. They look like they got snow drifts of about 1 inch. I was there tonight and was walking in the snow. It seems the south shore got the snow this time. It's weird how it's opposite like that; usually the north shore gets the snow and the south shore gets hardly any or it rains.

My friend in southern PA (on the border of DE, MD, and PA) got 30 inches of snow!! She's a nurse in a hospital and has been stuck in the hospital since yesterday and can't leave until tomorrow since she's snowed in.

Just light snow here now. We're supposedly going to get anywhere from 6-14" of snow today through tuesday.
