its probably cause your looking at florida, california or nyc that had HD street view for ages
but almost half of US did not such as Wyoming, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Missisippi, Alabama etc

Can you give an example of HD vs non-HD streetview? I think I've noticed it.

Anyhow, I'm somewhere on streetview.

Theres only a slight difference you still can't read the signs.

the difference is big. this is a better comparison.

The same boulding, the same street. non HD is from Oct 2007 and the new one is from April 2013

I can see the difference fine, pretty obvious.

But I can understand that everything is going to look pretty crap when you have a computer like his.
