Hi,
I'm gonna be at Palm Beach Gardens next week and i've never been there before.
Since i'm mainly on business and the little free time i'll get i'd love to spend it doing what i love most; having long walks around the city, i just want to know if it's an overall safe city to walk at night or really early in the mornings. I'm staying near the Gardens Mall.

Also which areas should I avoid (if any)?

Thanks!

There are really no areas to avoid in that locale. It's a bit suburban feeling, though, so you'll likely not be getting that "city walk" feel in the Gardens. Downtown at the Gardens, Legacy Place, and the Gardens Mall are part of the retail commercial core of the city, but are essentially malls.

The most you'll have to worry about is if you have to cross PGA Blvd. on your walk, as that is a very busy road!

Yes, it's safe. I don't do much walking in the city except in designated areas like "Downtown at the Gardens". According to your location, you'll be close to that area. You may need to drive across the road to get there (depending where you are located) because, as already mentioned it is a very busy road. I eat there alot and my boyfriend and I usually stroll around after dinner. If we don't eat there, we'll usually pick someplace along the western end of PGA blvd closer to where we live. There's a great article (http://www.pbpulse.com/events/taking-your-pulse/2012/04/03/taking-your-pulse-whats-your-favorite-restaurant-or-hotspot-on-pga-boulevard/ - broken link) that just came out a few days ago that gives you a nice list of the restuarants available in the area. You can also check out legacy place (again, you may have to drive it...it's very close by but the road's pretty busy). Legacy Place has a couple of decent places to eat, too.
