I am relocating with work to Palm Beach Gardens. My fiance and I are looking for a nice place to rent at a fair price. Where should I live? Please help...

Legacy Apartments adjacent to Legacy Place or Mira Flora adjacent to Downtown at the Gardens. Both newer places and reasonable. If you have a bigger budget the Landmark building is very nice for a renter but crazy overpriced to buy. It is behind Cheesecake factory.

I second Legacy, you can walk to a lot of nice places, the units are larger, and rents pretty reasonable for the area. Close to the train track but it's not too bothersome.
Midtown is nice as well, little smaller/pricier though.

What places should I completey avoid? I am going to be moving down sight unseen. I really need some help finding a safe area and place that is not a dump, its hard to judge by online reviews and small thumbnail pictures.

Avoid Riviera Beach. It's close to Palm Beach Gardens (mileage wise) so when you search around, you may get listings that will include that city as well. You may find apartments (tons of them) with low to moderate rental rates, but it's not a nice area, imho.
