Might have a job at the Boca airport, and I'm looking for a quiet neighborhood within 30 minutes of there without a high crime rate. Our budget is $175k, and a three bedroom two bath would be perfect. I'd rather not commute on 95, since I used to live in the SoFla area and I know what a nightmare that road can be, but it's not a deal breaker. We don't and won't have kids, so schools aren't a big deal.

Please don't send me a MSG saying you're a real estate agent and you'd love to help, this is just a fishing expedition at this point.

Smile Delray Beach

I'm thinking of a neighborhood in Delray in that price range. Let me check for you. I knew a couple of people who lived there; they said it was nice and quiet.

Is North Andrews Gardens in the Oakland Park area a decent place to live?

That's really relative.
I wouldn't live anywhere but east of Federal in Ft Lauderdale.
You'd really need to check that one out yourself.

lol

Ft Lauderdale's pretty expensive, as you've seen (I don't live there for this reason).
You're going to have a hard time finding what you want in your price range, but I would suggest looking anywhere but Ft Lauderdale.. but again, this is relative.
You might find it acceptable.

I have a friend that used to live in the North Andrews area, and he says he liked the area. I've driven through it before, and it seemed to be a decent neighborhood, not too many gang bangers or cars on blocks in the front yard.

Anyway, I guess I won't worry too much about it at this point, if this move happens its still a long ways off.
