We are a danish family of four. My wife and I are in our thirties and we have a girl age 4 and a boy age 1 1/2.
My company has opened an office in Boca Raton and because of that, we want to move to Florida. We love the sun, swimming, running and eating out in good restaurants.
We would love to rent a house with a sea view with 4-5 br and we can pay 5.000 $ a month.
Our children has to go to an international preschool with a good reputation.

So my question is. Where should we rent af house?

And another question. I hear that Florida has a lot of sun, but when I look at weather data, I can see that there is a lot of rain to. How bad is it?

Cheers

Martin

The best place to live near Boca Raton if you like beaches, swimming, running and eating out in good restaurants and have 5000 a month to spend for an ocean view is Boca Raton.

Now, during the summer months, it does rain almost every day, and unpredictably so. But the thing is that the sun also comes out almost every day. The other thing is you need to keep in mind that if you live sea side, you might have to evacuate at any time because of the hurricane risk, and although they are rare, recent hurricanes in the past couple years have stopped Floridians from resting on their laurels, and you shouldn't either.

Thank you for the nice reply.
Is there any areas in Boca Raton that you can recommend?

Cheers

I live 30 minutes from Boca so I'm not familiar with the coastal areas on a neighborhood basis unfortunately. Perhaps someone else could chime in?

A great international school in Boca is Boca Prep International.

http://www.bocaprep.net/

The area is called Mission Bay. Lots of great communities there. The school and the Evert Tennis Academy are surrounded by great homes.

Search realtor dot com for rentals in the 33428 zip code. Unfortunately it is a little inland though.

Zip code 33428 is way inland. The coastal zip codes, from north to south, are 33487, 33431, and 33432, the latter being the most "prestigious".

I don't know of any international schools in those zip codes, but that's where you want to look first.

Welcome and good luck!
