I know this sounds odd, but we're leaving NY and moving to Boynton Beach. One of the things I'll miss the most from NY is Ralph's Famous Italian Ices -- they're the best we ever had.

Are there any exceptional Italian Ice Stores or Parlors in the Palm Beaches?

Thank you

I miss Ralph's Ices too! Check out Rita's Ices - they just opened on Southern Blvd in Royal Palm Beach just west of 411. I take my kids there at least 1X a week.

Thank you Bobstar....I know, you know, how I feel. The rest of the Palm Beaches might think we're crazy but Ralphs is THE Best.

I know it doesn't quite fit your area, but I can recommend one. It's called Cecilie's Gourmet Italian Ices and they're located in Coral Springs (just south of Boca in Broward County). They're located just west of Coral Springs Drive on Wiles Road.

I haven't had one of those for years and years. I don't know if anything even close is available here on the west coast. Marinara sauce at ANY of the Italisn restaurants here in Port Charlotte is confused with "Ketchup".

So Italian ices are probably out of the question.

Hey. there's a market for someone!

Default 3 places

The best in the county is Maria's Italian Ice in Palm Beach Gardens. I haven't been there since they moved; the new location is either just west of US1 on the south side of Northlake Boulevard, or in the Publix shopping plaza west of I-95.

Look them up; it's worth it.

There's a Rita's Italian Ice franchise at Gateway and I-95. It is a very distant second to Maria's. The shop is LOUD and staffed by, well, you'll see for yourself. Anyway, not a comfortable space to enjoy your purchase, that's for sure!

A Philadelphia Water Ice is located on Federal Highway near Lantana. I've not been there so I can't vouch for it. Good luck.

Default Thank you everyone!

We're actually getting down to the area on the 23rd of this month. I'm going to check out the 2 or 3 mentioned here. You have no idea how much I appreciate your help!

Man, how I miss my Staten Island, NY Uncle Louie G's Italian Ices. I just love Rainbow Ice. When I asked the girls in Rita if they had Rainbow Ice they stated to me that they had never heard of Rainbow Ice!! You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! Then I get the Rita's cherry ice and it was not real good...very soft and watery. I was disappointed to say the least.....I'd even take Marino's Ices at this point. HELP!!!!
