Bruce --- Look into Seacrest Villa, just south of Gateway off US 1 and on the
intracoastal. We rented for a winter and loved it, we are your age. Also, look into
Village Royal on the Green, another complex with younger people. Also, Leisureville
in Boynton. Don't be afraid of the prices, we bought our condo in Village Royale for
$22,500. and we liked it, very active clubhouse, stage shows, movies, etc.
Good Luck.
Bruce,
Also check out Valencia Pointe - it's in Boynton Beach. They are single family homes, they will let you stay there and check it out for a couple of nights. I think they have a web site.
There is also a Century Village in Boca Raton, BTW.
My mom lives in Kings Point in Delray Beach and loves it. There are also many vacancies in Kings Point and plenty to do. The Clubhouse is beautiful. It pretty much has everything that Century Village has. A few of my mom's friends bought there and fixed them up really nice. Also, a lot of younger senior citizens are moving in. In my opinion, where Kings Point is located, it is much nicer than where Century Village is. You have Boynton Beach to the North and Boca to the South. I am a caregiver and take care of an elderly woman in Century Village in WPB. I don't like the surrounding areas at all.
What is the best senior living community in Boca area for elderly couple - any with golf courses? The units I have seen on the web of Century Village in Boca don't look well-kept. Any other suggestions?
Thanks - I am going to check out some senior-living communities for my folks. They will probably rent for a season to see if they like it down here. When you drive by Century Village in Deerfield it looks like old dorms or public housing. I will take your rec's about finding a realtor who knows the different communities and the senior social scene at these places.
I am looking to move my father to CV Boca....do any of you know any good realtors & what are the HOA fees? I hear there are 2 fees you have to pay? Thanks
