Good fishing spots in Wheeling area (Moundsville, War: license, eat, island)

Does anyone know any good fishing spots that are easy to get to. I don't mind hiking a little to a spot. I am looking for anything in the Wheeling or northern panhandle area and don't mind to travel as far as Moundsville if need be. I have an atlas but it isn't as clear to read as I thought. I don't have a boat so it will be dock or bank fishing.

If you're looking for fish you can eat... large mouth bass and the like, I would suggest Bear Rock Lake. It is located near US 40 near Valley Grove, WV close to the PA state line.

If you want to fish for sport only, the Ohio River has catfish as big as sharks and huge carp. One of the better places to fish the river is near the Pike Island Locks and Dam north of Warwood. A West Virginia fishing license is also good (on the river only) on the Ohio side of the river.
