Thanks once again!
I'd stay out of Barbour county. DRUGS are so bad there. Every month there are overdoses or murders! It's a beautiful county, close to Elkins, Buckhannon and Brideport which is probably why its grown in the previous years. But I would stay out of it! Until the corupt police departments start doing a better job with the drug problems the whole county is going to suffer

Summersville is about 1 hr from Ctown, nice drive in a nice day, winter not so much. Housing you can get a nice house for less than 100k, apartments there are several apartment complexes there, but I think most are low income. What type of job are you looking for?

Sissonville...North of Charleston about 15 minutes...one big street about 3 miles long...all country...nice high school...out of the valley smog. My favorite place near Ctown just because of the people...If I had to live there...I'd live in Sissonville.

Smile Thanks so much! I needed that.

Summersville sounds like a long commute but Sissonville sounds easy enough. I just found out the church i am affiliated with is in South Charleston. How is that area for housing and commuting to Charleston. I am in the medical field.
Is there a mall in Sissonville? How far would that be from South Charleston? I do appreciate all your advice.

Less than ten miles...not a factor in Wv. Sissonville does have a small shopping center.
You need to spend a weekend looking it all over...Use that church network...they will be more than glad to give you the best advice. Many overlook this resouce...you will get the school info, clubs, activities and the best places to shop...all in less than 2 hrs...
