Hi, I am in PA just wondering why the media has your state as all republican votes for the Pres. Election. The media does lie can't trust them.

Can one of you start a presidental poll for your state?

WV govt site says for 2008: Registered voters - 56.21% are Democrat, 29.38% are Republican (rest are other). http://www.wvsos.org/elections/histo...OfficialVR.pdf

I think there has been a couple polls done on here a month or so ago.
Personally, I'm a Democrat voting for a Republican.

Dominion Post has a poll...McCain about 70% Obama about 30%...same stats as the Primary...will be the same in the General...

The people protest their corrupt Demo leaders by voting the opposite party...have done so for several elections cycles...

My thought...people will vote McCain and Demo leaders will vote Obama in the Electorial College...

See that Rocky slot on the ballot...remember that Jay Wolf is very intelligent and a winner in every way..excelent speaker, personable and not a bad trombone player..(Local Community Orchestra...mine)

No poll done now is going to give you a sneak peek at the results of the next Presidential election. I was not aware that WV was a republican state - that's news to me. I have been told that WV is a democrat state.

West Virginia has traditionally been a Democratic state. However, as the Democratic Party becomes less of an industrial worker/union party and more of an Al Gore/Environmentalist party that is hostile to the coal industry, West Virginia voters have moved towards the GOP in presidential elections. I have seen no real evidence that this voting pattern is starting to move down the ballot to other federal or state offices, but eventually it could.

I'm a Democrat who sure seems to vote Republican a lot. Does that make me a Conservative Democrat?

No. It makes you an American. I'm sure you've heard of them. Those are the folks who can be a registered blue but can vote red or pink or white or polka dotted at their own whim. I do that a lot too. I keep forgetting what color I registered under and there's no telling which way my vote will swing on the ballot. Yep, that's what you are, one of them thar Americans!
