If I remember correctly We (and Texas) had the first 'fiber optic network in the late 80's or early 90's when Chesapeake & Potomac (Bell Telephone) serviced Wv.
It was needed for the FBI facility in Bridgeport.
I agree with Threerun! If they all figure out how beautiful our state is they would pour in and turn it into the areas they are in...we are a secret! I say let them believe what they would like but believe it from far away!
The crap eaters did exactly that with Oregon...a bankrupt wasteland now and even the Californians will not go there.
