Thank you all very much for the excellent information that you provide on this forum. It is fantastic, but a little overwhelming!
We plan to move to Westchester next summer from Zurich, where we will have lived for 4 years. Before that, we lived in London, New Jersey and Bermuda. We are both native Californians.
We are thinking that Hastings on Hudson or Larchmont might suit us. We are international - have lived abroad for most of our adult lives- but are also pretty laid back Californians! Although Northern Westchester sounds lovely, we would like to be as close to the city as possible (my husband for work and myself for pleasure!)
Does anybody have a detail or two that would make either town stand out for them, ie, cheaper property taxes, smaller or better schools, better train line, etc.
I should add that we have 4 kids, one of them who, I suspect is "twice exceptional" -very bright with learning disabilities.
