I am planning to move from White Plains to NYC.
After searching this forum, I have contacted Collins Brothers but the estimate I got was more expensive than I thought. It was $900+ and I remember moving from NJ to White Plains was much cheaper than this. It's a one bedroom move and I do not have many stuffs. I have also contacted Al's moving but have not heard back yet.
Can anybody recommend me good movers? Good in terms of quality and price. If you guys think Collins Brothers is worth the money, I am willing to pay $900+. However, I am hesitant because most of my furnitures are from IKEA... not saying they can break it but it would be nice if it's more affordable.

Get a quote from flat rate movers. I used them last year and they did a good job.

We just completed a move using Arthur Werner Moving & Storage. They were excellent both getting us moved out and moved in. When searching for companies we were narrowed it down to Arthur Werner and Flat Flat Rate. They were both comparable in price. We chose Arthur Werner because they had better ratings with the BBB and just got a good vibe from the representative when came to our home. It was a good choice and would use them again.
We didn't use Flat Rate movers, but I know people who were happy with their service as well. Check them both out and see which you prefer.
