Don't move to Yonkers. The math does not work on your salary. You would have to pay income tax and property tax there for which you will receive zero if you don't use the public schools. If you send your 2 kids to a private school such as one of the hill schools, you will be paying $90K/yr on top of that property and income tax. And should you sustain a professional setback and have to pull your kids out of private school, you will not have a good public option as a fallback.
Not to mention, Yonkers is a historically corrupt and nasty place. Too bad, because the location is great and there are some beautiful residential neighborhoods.
You are doing the right thing by researching. I'd check with some mortgage professionals to see your purchasing power vs. affordability. If you are not adverse to moving a few times, Yonkers is a great place to start out. There are some fantastic neighborhoods, and some less desirable but that is up to you to decide where you and your family would be comfortable. Good Luck!
My son spent one year at a Yonkers Public School (where we lived), one year at a private school in Yonkers, and now attends public school in Hastings on Hudson (where we now live).
If I were you, and it's realistic, I'd move to Dobbs Ferry or Ardsley. Yonkers has some decent areas, true, but the education at public schools in Dobbs or Ardsley will be as good or, likely, better than private schools in Yonkers. Not only that, but at private schools it's not only the tuition involved: There are peripheral costs which do add up.

90k? You can send two kids to the Catholic school in Crestwood for about 10k/year.

I specified the hill schools. Those are Riverdale, Fieldston, and Horace Mann. They cost more than $40K/yr. I agree the parochial school is cheaper but the OP did not specify parochial.

Yes, but none of those are in Yonkers.
