I'm having trouble finding a good Vet in Lower Westchester. I normally take my pets to AMC in Manhattan because and I'm not happy with the one's I've tried around here. I would like to find an excellent Vet closer though. Lately, someone mentioned a good one in Mount Vernon. Actually two people told me about this excellent Vet. Does anybody know a really good Vet you trust fully, whose prices are not unbeliably ridiculous?

I love my vet. She is in Armonk - which is central Westchester. Her name is Patrice owner of Animal Clinic of Armonk. I had medical issues with my cats and also went to AMC and she was top notch in doing some testing herself and working with them. She really loves animals and is dedicated to taking proper care of them. If you don't get any good info. on lower Westchester - she is worth the ride. By the way - I did not like Katonah-Bedford Animal Center. They try to advertise like AMC but they are no AMC.

The best VET is Dr. Polisky in Thornwood. Commerce streeet. I used to live in pleasantville where he saved my cats life. I now live in queens and I still drive all the way to westchester to take my cats to see him. He is very down to earth and personable and is reasonably priced. I would highly recommend him.

Bond Animal Hospital in White Plains saved my cat's life. He almost died from crystals in his urinary tract. Dr MacKenzie performed the operation and thank God he has been very healthy since. Bond is a little expensive compared to some of the other hospitals, but the quality of the hospital is worth it.

When we lived in the north end of New Rochelle, we went to Stamen on Quaker ridge road. They were really wonderful. The vet that we used passed away so I cannot say how they might be now but I doubt he would've sold his practice to someone who wasn't like he was.

We've also used Village Animal hospital on Weaver street in Larchmont. Amazing as well. My family doesn't have pets anymore, but I have friends who go there and really like it for their animals.

May be worth researching these options.

Good luck

Lower Westchester? I recommend Anthony Meglino, Tuckahoe Animal Hospital. He saved my cat's life in 2006.

Default Animal Hospital of White Plains (south end White Plains)

We are very happy with AHWP and we live in Pelham. Drs. Tarasoff and Lagana. (914) 949-0434. They are on Pleasant Ave, off Gedney (South White Plains).

I've used Westchester Animal Hospital (Dr. Robert Jiao) in Mt. Vernon for several years, since I got my first cat. I find his receptionists to be a bit surly, but he himself and his vet techs are wonderful. He is also available via emergency # 24 hours a day & has answered my frantic calls at 10 pm when my cat got into some chocolate.
