I lived in Pound Ridge for 25 years and both my kids went through the Bedford School District and Fox Lane. My brother lived in Bedford Hills for for the same, along with a zillion other friends. I know whereof I speak.
These are very affluent communiites. What you might encounter won't be racism, it would be economic classicism. It may feel the same if you're a minority out-group, but it's not. Virtually nobody there gives a damn about race, but they care greatly about socioeconomics, educational values, etc. A black or Asian doctor, lawyer or whatever will be in. If you're working class however, of whatever race, you'll probably not be so comfortable. I'm discounting mean things kids say to each other, which happens with all kids everywhere.
