Hello! I will be arriving to Laguardia next week and I need to get to Dobbs Ferry, anyone know the fast/best way to get there by public transit?

Thanks

Most people will take a Livery Cab or hire a car service. Try these links:

bus service from Laguardia to Dobbs Ferry - Google Search

Connecticut Limo (which runs Bus Service to most airports) seems to be popular in this area, but definatelly shop around. You might be able to get a good limo company to do it for $125

You can get on the M60 bus that serves LaGuardia and will take you into Manhattan. It goes to all LGA terminals. Take it to 125th Street in Harlem where you can then transfer to the MetroNorth train, Hudson Line, to Dobbs Ferry. It's easier than navigating to Grand Central to take the train to Dobbs Ferry, and is a pretty direct route, though travel time will vary based upon traffic conditions. It is supposed to run in 40-45 minutes, I think, from LGA to Manhattan. I usually drive or have a car service, myself, but I do know people who use this route and it's reliable.

Here's a link for the M60 bus ($2): MTA NYC Transit Subway Line Information

Here's a link for the MetroNorth train (fares): http://as0.mta.info/mnr/fares/get_fares.cfm (broken link) Be sure to buy your ticket on the web, or via the station ticket machine, since on board the train, you will pay full fare plus a premium.

To get to Dobbs Ferry on the bus/train, it would run less than $20, with a substantial savings for a web ticket. Less than $10 if you're on a non-peak train, and a little over $10 for a web ticket peak train purchase. The tickets are not issued to individual trains, so it's only a question as to whether or not it is a peak or off-peak fare.

Have a good trip.

Forget that. That's a local bus that comes once a century and stops every block.

Better off trying The Most Departures To Manhattan - New York Airport Service.

Straight shot reserved seat to GCT, then Hudson line to Dobbs. 12 Bucks. Can't beat that with a stick.
