When traveling, I usually check this website - it shows three choice in boone. The only downfall is it doesn't always show surrounding areas so you have to keep searching the names of towns...you can also do it by route, but I've never tried that search.

There are several pet friendly hotels in Boone. The problem is a good bit of them are run down and kind of nasty, to be blunt. As someone suggested, I would check out websites. Also, it may not hurt to just pick out a hotel you like and just call and ask them if they take pets. Sometimes if they are trying to fill rooms they make exceptions.

Have you thought about a cabin rental instead? There are many that allow pets for a small fee and if you are a responsible pet owner.
