Moving to Greenville/Asheville area (Dallas: live in, areas, summer)

My girlfriend and I have decided to move to either the Greenville, SC or Asheville, NC area by next summer and will be visiting the area for four days next week (live in Dallas now). I realize this is a short amount of time, but we will also visit at least three more times in the next six months before making a final decision.

We could certainly use some recommendations on areas to visit in Asheville in order to give us a good, preliminary overview of the city. Thanks!
