Access to Wilson Creek Wilderness area is off Jonas Ridge. Beautiful area with multiple trail heads to explore.

It's pretty, it's remote, the BRP goes through it, it's very popular with campers, RV'ers, hikers, and they grow lots of Christmas trees up there. You can see the spooky/creepy Brown Mountain Lights from the ridge. Property values are pretty high though I'm sure there is fairly affordable land available. Seasonal residents are abundant. As for Old Jonas Ridge Rd., sorry, I don't know anything specific about it at all. As Francois asked, it might be good to know what exactly you're looking for! :-)
