Hendersonville/Flat Rock are serviced by Morris Broadband, who IMO, is the absolute worst cable company I have ever experienced and I have lived in a lot of areas, in terms of outages, service and cost.

For example, comparing Morris to Charter, even if you pay $100 for 50Mbps, it is not as good as the internet speed that comes without paying extra with Charter. It is really a very cheesy company who cares little for the customer base because they are a monopoly in the Hendersonville/Flat Rock area.

Trying not to go off-topic, here, but Morris Broadband no longer has a monopoly in this area. AT&T came in over a year ago, with lower prices, MUCH better channel selection, higher internet speeds, lower prices, more flexible pricing, a better selection of features for land-lines (allowing you to just install a very basic service), lower prices, more modern equipment that allows for wifi TV connection (no more wires coming out of the walls), online forums for problem resolution ... and did I mention lower prices?

I won't bad-mouth Morris, though, because when I had them, even though they were a monopoly (so their prices and some policies were TERRIBLE), their customer service folks were ALWAYS professional and nice. It was what it was.

But since we went to AT&T's U-verse, we have not looked back.

Also FWIW, a few months ago, there was a fiber-optics company running cable in my neighborhood. I'm HOPING they were a subcontractor for AT&T, and I can soon upgrade to their 45mbps service.

U-verse isn't available in Flat Rock and the cost of high speed internet in Hendersonville, as in above 40 Mbps is ridiculous at $65 a month with a 250 Gig cap.
