T R C Environmental: Does anyone know about this company? From what I can tell, it's supposed to be a cultural resources management archaeology company in Asheville. I think. I can't find much about it, though. The website is just for the big corporation, TRC Companies, inc. This website really says nothing useful but does list CRM as one thing they do, though it doesn't look like the focus. And the yellow pages makes me wonder if they're even in archaeology, because I'm wary of companies that are under "archaeology" and "expeditions arranged and outfitted". Is this TRC affiliated at all with TRC Garrow? At first I thought it might be, but now I don't think it is.
Now, assuming they do CRM, or archaeology at all:
Right now I work for an independant CRM company. I'm used to being able to do field, lab, and office-work depending on where I'm needed. I'm used to working every week for the same company even though I don't have a Master's. Does this company work like that at all? And do they focus on local jobs?
I feel like I've done everything except calling them up and flat-out asking what they do. I may do that if no-one here knows.
Also, if anyone can tell me who does most of the CRM around Asheville, I'd appreciate it. If this TRC isn't really in CRM, it looks like it's up to TRC Garrow in Nashville and/or Chapel Hill, though there are some smaller companies. Of course, that would zero out the lab and office work for me and cut my income way down.
That company has a "office" in Asheville which is really a single person Tasha Beneshek. They did a big project in Cherokee a couple years back but not much Archaeology happens around asheville.
