My wife and I are heading to the mountains in a few days. We'd love to do some sled riding, but not sure if there will be enough natural snow. Does much of the high country have snow on the ground now?

Through some research, it seems Moses Cone State Park has a really fun hill for public sledding. Another other options we should consider?

If we can't sled, then we plan on giving snow tubing a try. We've never done it before, but it seems fun enough. A few snow tubing questions:

1. How fast do you get going? We grew up in the hills of Ohio, where sledding down steep hills was a walk in the park. We worry a bit that these snow tubing lanes will be a bit slow and pedestrian for us.

2. Which resort would your recommend? From Hawksnest to Jonas Ridge to Tube World, we aren't really sure which would be the most fun. Any suggestions?

Thanks and Happy Holidays!
