My wife and I just returned from a weekend trip to Asheville. We did not have a lot of time to look around plus our 2 year old was behaving like a 2 year old.

Needless to say, we were very impressed. The mountains were beautiful and the downtown area was just wonderful. We got the feel that this area would be great for us and our family.

We both work in education and will not move without contracts and Board of Education approval. As a high school principal, I have some very specific questions. If any other NC school administrators on this forum would be kind enough to respond I can ask the questions specifically to them.

In addition. what other towns similar to Hendersonville would visitors to this forum suggest we look at as well. We visited Hendersonville and loved the park next to the pool.

We are not limiting ourselves to just Asheville, but would prefer towns such as Hendersonville and larger.

The public schools around here are laying off employees. I'd wait a year or two or plan on doing something else. Glad you liked downtown.
