Not counting Honolulu and Anchorage for obvious reasons, only El Paso has a larger population without a Trader Joes. Just thought that this was an interesting little factoid. Any word of if one is rumored to come to The Wich?

Petition them on their website indicating Wichita lacks one. I shop there often, great specialty products at reasonable prices.

They were in town twice when opening the Kansas City and Lincoln, NE markets. Not in impressed to say the least.
In all honesty, emailing , Facebook group and requesting at stores in region have minimal effect.

What's so great about Trader Joe's? Isn't it just another overpriced, trendy grocery store?

Actually, dropping in on Trader Joe's stores in varied staqtes around the USA over the years, I am rather surprised at their quite-reasonable prices (even rather low prices . . . especially for a "natural foods"-oriented grocer). You'd think they'd be priced like Whole Foods (for instance) and yet they aren't. They apparently don't have the same operating philosophy as Whole Foods.

Not overpriced at all, in fact underpriced would be the more apt description. They're an eclectic grocery store that sells mostly private label stuff. It's a pretty cool place. Here's their wiki page:
