I would certainly love to give it a shot but it might be hard to convince someone to hire me if I have no working knowledge of that field. I'm not sure if I would be able to do plumbing and I'm not much of a blue collar worker but my friend who worked in insurance with me had no problem transitioning into the CDL business. I know it's not much but I've also been working as an Uber driver yeah I know don't laugh haha. But yes I think doing something with my CDL would be my best bet as long as I keep my driving record clean I should be in good shape. Just out of curiosity why is Fargo non union jobs a trap?
The non-union labor jobs make you just enough to get by. The company has no reason to give anything but lip service to training and advancement. So, you end up marking time and growing older and that is the only growth you get.

If you lived farther east, I think you'd have a different opinion. There are tons of nice people here! Your neighborhood is not known for good-hearted folks. Still, if a tornado blew through and you needed help getting a tree off your vehicle, there would be at least one guy there with a chainsaw within the hour, and he wouldn't accept a dime. Your thanks would be enough.

There's still a number of people like that in the Metro.
