Wait until you see how N.C. handles a little bit (like an inch or less) of snow. It does snow in N.C.

Oh they're working on it. Although it looks a bit drab at this time, Downtown Green Bay has great bones for a refresh.

Don't beat yourself up for not liking Wis. There are not many people that move there from someplace else and stay because they love it so much. The long cold winters, with long periods without the sun are something few can get used to. That's why you almost have to be born and grow up in it to be able to handle it. And even the locals don't tolerate it well, that's why there are so many that leave in winter and head to Fla. or Tx or Arizona when they retire, or at least take a couple of weeks off in Jan and Feb.

I love Wisconsin. And my advice to anyone who don't want to be bored at winters is to go outdoors as often as possible. Do crosscountry skying, motorcycling, hunting, whatever. You'll find out that there's enough sun in the winter to have your face deep brown all year long.

Deep brown with frostbite, maybe.

Nope. Your body generates a lot of heat when moving, with proper clothing you'll be all right.
Wisconsin is so much more to the south than any part of Canada (not even daring to talk about Sweden, Norway or Russia)... And people in Canada live all right and don't complain much.

Yes it does. ..some areas more than others. I lived there for over 10 years before having to move to WI...and each winter we laughed at the new transplants from the north that assumed they could drive like it was nothing....body shops loved them as well.

Snow in NC often includes an ice glaze on top...and no matter how many plows you have...even you northerners that think you know all about driving in snow will learn a few lessons.

Also NC has really started using brine on the roads when snow is predicted and that helps alot for the weather that is there.

I'll take NC over WI any day... summer or winter.

Why summer? It's way hotter and generally more humid. Or are you saying you always prefer hot weather?

I am saying that NC beats WI any day of the year. I am not a big fan of humidity but I don't even really mind snow either.

There is more than weather to what makes a place livable and I think unless you are a WI native....WI isn't a place people move to unless they have to.
