Our Saturday "moving sale/yard sale" was a huge success. Everything sold in the first 2 hours. Yay! So we are now shovel-less. Sure hope it doesn't snow before we move out. LOL It's not like the neighbors around here are going to help. They don't even acknowledge each others existence. Oh well...

Does everyone in central Wisconsin have a cold or the flu???

My hubster is sick as a dog, so I went to the local pharmacy to get some cold medicine and Halls. The shelves were almost empty! Touch wood, my son and I are fighting fit and don't want any cold bugs!

Lots of schools are closed because of low attendance rates. I know Sauk county just declared a h1n1 pandemic type deal. It's in effect for sixty days. I don't know anyone personally who has the flu. I pray to god I don't get sick.

What a very nice day today, just took a drive through downtown Milw with all the people out and people able to eat at sidewalk cafes is such a nice sight in mid-October.

Tet Tea, I was to the clinic twice last week and both days it was packed! Regular appointments and lots of walk-ins, too!

Normally I worry about sinus issues because I'm pneumonia prone but I felt a sinus infection was the lesser of the evils going around apparently! My sister and I both got sick after we returned from Iowa. I feel much better and very relieved I didn't have the flu.

BacktoNE, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and hopefully the snow will stay "way up north"! Glad your sale went well! I'd be in a world of hurt if my neighbors didn't help me with the snow (living on a corner and having the double drive)!!!

Hope everyone stays well! My 16 year old son had what I thought was the flu, but when he did not get better, took him to the md. and my worst fear was confirmed: mononucleosis. Not much you can do for it except rest.

No sitting at sidewalk cafes for me today!!

Rained cat and dogs this afternoon. We were at the land working on a deer blind for my grandson when it started coming down. I pick up my tools drove the four wheeler back to camp and loaded it up on the trailer. I was pretty wet by then.

Well, then on the way out we got stuck twice. I had to unload the four wheeler, unhook the trailer, get the truck moving, hook the trailer back up and load the four wheeler. We went a couple of hundred yards and got stuck again. Same routine, except this time I hooked up the trailer to the four wheeler, my friend drove the truck out to the highway and I drove the four wheeler. We got out on the highway and I switched the trailer back to the truck, loaded the four wheeler, etc.... all in the pouring rain.

We have been lucky so far.

My granddaughter was feeling a little under the weather over the weekend but by yesterday she was feeling fine.

I heard Marinette joined the list of schools closing due to student illness. Kaukuana was closed, I don't know if they opened back up yet or not. I heard something about Steven's Point, not sure what's going on there.

I saw on the news last night that a lot of schools are closing due to H1N1. **Knock on wood** and fingers crossed tightly, DH & I remain our normal, healthy selves.
